Scaffold instruction – freshmen learn basic library skills in intro classes , sophomores learn more advanced searching and citation techniques.
Spring 2015 we collaborated on a freshman level intro course . We had face-to-face instruction with one class and had a control group for the second class. We are still gathering data on these classes.
We plan on collaborating on the same political science research course next year but focus more on advanced search skills and tools appropriate for their major
Starting in Fall 2015, we are going to identify 50 students who receive embedded librarian instruction in their freshman experience class and follow them throughout their college experience to see how many graduate and how they perform in their major.
