The following free resources from the National Library of Medicine/NCBI are great places to start finding credible information to cite in Wikipedia articles.

PubMed This link opens in a new window
PubMed contains millions of articles from medical and health sciences journals. Look for review articles, systematic reviews, or metaanalyses -- avoid primary research articles (like randomized controlled studies or clinical studies).

NCBI Bookshelf
NCBI Bookshelf provides free online access to books and documents in life science and healthcare. Excellent source material for Wikipedia!
MedlinePlus
Trusted health information created and/or vetted by the National Library of Medicine. Includes information on diseases/conditions, drugs and supplements, and medical tests, as well as a medical encyclopedia. Intended for patients and their families; most information is understandable by the average person..

Cochrane Library
For questions about treatments of health conditions. Great source for finding systematic reviews, which evaluate and synthesize empirical evidence that meets pre-specified eligibility criteria to answer a specific research question.
Google Books
Search a massive database of digitized books, including medical textbooks and manuals. Only some books can be read in their entirety.
Google Scholar
Like Google, but searches only scholarly information. Look for review articles/metaanalyses rather than primary sources. If full text is available, you'll see a link to the right of the search result.

MEDLINE Best Bet
MEDLINE provides authoritative medical information on medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences, and much more.
PubMed Best Bet
PubMed comprises more than 23 million citations for biomedical literature from MEDLINE, life science journals, and online books. Citations may include links to full-text content from PubMed Central and publisher web sites.
OVID Nursing Full Text + Emcare Best Bet
Ovid’s nursing books and journals span traditional specialty areas like pain management, maternity care, surgical nursing, nursing management, and evidence-based nursing. They include clinically-relevant tools in diagnosis and care procedures, practitioner journals, references for nurse education and CME, resources for nursing administrators, and foundational research literature.
Emcare, produced by Elsevier, covers all nursing specialties and nursing healthcare professions. Biomedical Reference Collection: Basic
Designed for doctors, research scientist, students and clinical specialists, this database provides full text for over 100 journals in a variety of areas pertaining to medical study.
CINAHL Ultimate
