How to use the WorldCat database to find articles, books, and more

Finding books by topic in WorldCat

1. Start at the Advanced Search page. Search by Keyword for your topic; combine search fields for better results.

2. In the Format box, select Book. For better results, consider both ebooks and print books.

3. Use the options on the left to limit your search by Date, Topic, etc.

4. When you click a book title, you'll see details about that book, including how to access it. For print books, use the call number to find the book in the MCLA library, or request it through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). For ebooks, click View ebook.
